Remember how those 3 men tied my umbrella to a wooden pole to offer me shade while I work outside? When I did this a week ago, a giant gust of wind shoved the whole contraption to the ground and smashed one side of the umbrella, bending the handle and cracking the support beams. Chandu Bhaya has helped me before with things like finding test tubes and setting up my sand filter– but he’s really outdone himself this time. With the duct tape I brought from the US and some string he found in the lab we rigged this thing so that it should be strong enough for a Nagpur monsoon! But it does require a lot more storage space than before.
